Christmas Day!

Christmas day was LOTS of fun this year; while Ella still doesn't really understand the whole Santa concept she was more than happy with all these presents!

On Christmas Eve we went over to our good friends the Bardsleys ... who Ella affectionately refers to as Nana Bea & Papa John...we had amazing seafood chowder (I look forward to this every year!) and lots of fun. We left a little early to get home and get Ella to bed.

Early the next morning we went over to my Mom's for Christmas morning!
Stockings are my favorite part of the morning!!

Another tradition at Mom and Dad's has always been stockings upstairs, breakfast and then downstairs for the presents...as a child breakfast time seemed torturous :-)

Of course there were tones of presents as every year my Mom claims we are cutting back but she is notorious for going over board ... and well with Ella she has a hard time resisting!

Oh yes and Ella got her very own pony, when you press its ears it neighs (....only a Grandma would find this :-))

While it was lots of fun a nap was much required before turkey dinner! We can back to our house to pleasantly smell a turkey cooking ...I had used my timer for the first time!

Mom, Dad and Jeff joined us around 5pm for a wonderful dinner ... and Ella ate her very first full Christmas dinner and loved it! She loved the garlic mashed potatoes ....she really is so much like her Daddy!

Hope your day was as enjoyable as ours!
