Grannie & Grampa Haigh came to town!

A few weeks ago Malcolm's parents came to visit us all the way from Vancouver for a week! It was so nice to be able to catch up in person ...especially with Ella. Its amazing how quickly children change in the first year or so! Due to our recent vacation Mal and I were not able to take extra time off work but we enjoyed our weekend and evenings together.

Ella had a little extended holiday as Grannie & Grampa nicely took care of her for a few days so she didn't have to go to "school" (we call daycare school:-))!
On the weekend Mal and Ella took Grannie & Grampa for a bike ride around the neighborhood. On the Saturaday evening we had a bit of a belated birthday dinenr for Mal and celebrated with both of our parents; it was a lovely evening and the food was pretty good too (if I do say myself!)

A few years ago I had brought Mal home a nice bottle of port ... he had been waiting to open it and decided this Sat night was the night ... we all agreed it was very worth the wait!

While we were sad to say good bye to Audrey and Peter we are really looking forward to visiting them and Ella's Great Grandpa Haigh in January!
