Taylor Head.

I went camping with buddy Brad last weekend. We went to Taylor Head Provincial park about 100km north of here. This is a little windswept piece of land jutting out into the atlantic. It was inhabited about 1850 by 150 people or so over the years. It is now a park with very little remnants of prior settlement with the exception of a couple of fields and a graveyard. We were out for a hike and had an enjoyable one along the coast and out to the point where we found it too windswept and baron to camp. We continued on and found a sandy spot that was soft but infested with ants and skeeters. We eventually found a spot in a meadow that was cushy and not so full of ants though a little lumpy. the picture below is from where we camped. We had a nice fire and marshmallow roast a bottle of wine or two and i cooked up some beans for dinner. It was a great night and always nice to sleep so close to the ocean. I convinced Brad to leave the fly off his tent and he woke up damp. He cried, I laughed. It was a great weekend. Looking forward to the next one.
