Happy Canada Day!

We hope you enjoyed your Canada Day as much as we did! The sun finally came out to shine in Halifax and lasted all day ...the sky even remained clear enough for the fireworks in the evening! (it has been raining and foggy for several days now).

After a late breakfast we decided to go for a bike ride and test out the new trailor that Malcolm had picked up for Ella last week. We took a little break at the duck pond to feed the ducks. Ella was quite fasinated with them ...as they quacked she yelled back at them ..it was rather humorous!

The duck pond is in the middle of our neighborhood and a popular spot for families on the weekends :-)
After returning to watch England sadly be eliminated from the World Cup we went over to Petra & Shane's for a BBQ ! (and to watch the Brazil/France game)

We had a nice afternoon and Ella went to bed early ... Petra and Shane are expecting a baby in the next few weeks so fortunately they had everything set up for Ella :-) Having friends with kids sure is convienient! The rest of us then had a yummy bbq and enjoyed a few beverages into the evening.

Its funny as we couldn't help but chat about how different Canada Day next year will be .... lots of babies everywhere!! I know I have said this before but we are SO very lucky to have such a great group of friends all at the same pace of life!
