A beautiful day at Blueberry Bay!

This time last year my parents purchased a gorgeous piece of land on the South Shore of Nova Scotia in a tiny little area called Blueberry Bay. Its about an hour and 20 minutes from the city and as the weather was beautiful this past week Jeff, Mom, Ella, Max and I decided to take a drive down on Tuesday afternoon. We stopped for lunch in Mahone Bay at the Innlet Cafe; my sister had recommended this place to me a month or so ago and its lovely!

Upon arriving in Blueberry Bay we went for a walk on the beach ... yes this beach is OURS!!! We are hoping that next summer their might be a summer house here so we can spend even more time at our beautiful little beach :-) Mom and Dad are currently working on plans for the house...yahooo!!!!
Ella really wanted to get down and crawl on the sand but it was a little wet here and I knew she would be a mess for the drive home so I waited until we hit a drier spot to let her go :-)
Max was in heaven, the cold ocean water didn't phase him one bit! He was in and out of the water the whole time we were there! I think Mom had as much fun playing as Max did :-)!

Ahhh the sand on her toes for the very first time, I must say Ella much prefers sand to grass!!! She was too cute ...digging little pieces of seaweed out of the sand and swishing her toes about...I think we may have a beach bum in the making!!

It was about 23 degrees when we left but only 18 when we got to the property ...the ocean air is a little breezy but was impressive nonetheless for May in Nova Scotia! Over the past year we have spent many Sunday dinners sketching and talking about what Mom and Dad's summer home will look like ...after being there and just breathing the clean salt water air I am certain that Blueberry Bay will be a haven regardless of what it looks like or when it is completed!!
