My 1st Mother's Day!

What a great weekend! Although my Mom was not here to celebrate with us this year...she is in Italy (so we cannot feel too bad for her!!) ... Malcolm and Ella made great efforts to ensure that I had a fabulous first Mother's Day! It all started when Ella awoke at 8am ... Mal took her downstairs and I got to sleep in!!!



Once I strolled downstairs Ella and I enjoyed homemade blueberry and raspberry pancakes, for a man who really dislikes breakfast Mal sure can make pancakes! This was Ella's first experience with Daddy's pancakes and she loved them!



That afternoon we went for a nice walk...and through the DQ drive through ... hmmm soft serve! It was a beautiful day here in Halifax ...above 20 degrees!! So we spent most of the day outside and then had a nice BBQ here for dinner. Jeff joined us so it was a nice end to a great day!

Happy Mother's Day to all you Mommies and a big Happy Mother's Day to my Mom and Mother in Law who were thought of dearly but not here in Hali to celebrate with us!
