Girl's weekend AWAY!
Several months ago my closest girlfriends and I planned a "weekend away"; I was still pregnant at the time but knew by the time it came around it would be much needed. Well on the heels of Mal's Alaska trip I have say that I was very much in need of some adult conversation and just some time to myself. ( I truly commend all the single mother's in the world as just those 2 weeks was more than enough for me!)
We flew to Toronto early Friday morning and believe it or not things went perfectly as I left the house ... I had imagined leaving with both kids screaming but as luck would have it Henry woke for me to feed him and went back to sleep and Ella & Mal were both still sleeping ... no drama ... ahhh it was lovely!
We got the airport, checked and straight to Tim's ... sadly I have been trying live caffeine free for awhile as it seems to help Henry out quite a bit ... so at last caffeine and TIME to sit and enjoy my tea as well :-) I think I even sat down and all ! LOL!
So we arrived in TO and went straight to the One of Kind craft show ... wow .. it was HUGE and there was some really nice stuff ...Xmas shopping officially started! From there we went back to our hotel (right downtown TO) got ready and went out for dinner and then to see Dirty Dancing (musical ... live on stage ...not the movie) :-) The show was not as great as we had hoped but was fun nonetheless. Lets just say its pretty hard to fill Patrick Swayze's shoes!

Saturday ... we SHOPPED .... ALL DAY! Went out for dinner ... and then crashed ... we were all zonked! Sunday; we went to IKEA ... shopped some more and then to the airport ... it was a very busy weekend so I was tired but tired in a much different way than usual :-)
Me ... relaxed ...ahhh I even had a few glasses of wine !

Hey Jill,
No worries on missing us on your Dirty Dancing Visit to Toronto - we understand - time flies when you're having fun and with you travelling down with so many friends, it's hard to get away. I'm glad you had fun and a couple of days off of "mommy" duty is always a good thing no matter how much you miss them - the routine that works so well for the kids is a nice thing to have a "t-o" from!
Talk soon, Sundance
