Perfect day in the Pumpkin Patch!
For years I have watched the local news reports about the Pumpkin Festival in Windsor, Nova Scotia...however we had never been so this year we decided as it was a sunny morning we would pack up the kids and go for the day.
We started at Dill's Farm where we met up with our friends, Crystal & Adam and their sons Lucas & Andrew. (Howard Dill is famous for growing HUGE pumpkins!) ..Ella had so much fun walking around the pumpkin patch. From there we went downtown and watched the parade ....giant pumpkins were decorated and carried throughout the town. Ella & Lucas waved and danced as the music played :-)
Our intention was to end the day watching the Pumpkin Regatta however as we arrived to watch the launch the skies opened and it started to pour with rain. At this point we made the executive decision to go home ... both kids were fast asleep in minutes so I think we made the right choice!
We brought home 2 pumpkins and shall carve them in time for Halloween, perhaps we will go again next year when Henry too can run around the pumpkin patch!
