Happy Birthday Mal Daddy!

On Monday, September 24th it was Mal's birthday! He started celebrating on Saturday as we went to our friends Petra & Shane's along with 2 other couples other and had an amazing , "very authentic" Indian meal. It was SO delicious and great to get out and relax amongst ALL adults!

For the past 10 yrs or more (since I have know n him) Mal has had the same traveling/camping backpack ... it was definitely time for a new one so I got him one from MEC for his birthday .On Sunday my Dad took both Mal and Jeff to a pre season NHL game where the Habs met the Bruins here in Halifax, they had a great time and met us downtown after the game for dinner.
Our family has a tradition of when its your birthday you get to choose where to go for dinner (so generous of my parents) ... and for years now Mal has been choosing the Keg and no one is ever disappointed! Fortunately our good friend Judy came over and stayed with Ella so we could all enjoy a dinner a little later in the evening. Henry boy was excellent and seemed to also enjoy his first Keg experience ... must be in the genes as generally he is somewhat fussy between 7 and 9pm:-)
On Monday Ella and I decorated for Daddy ... she was adamant that he HAD to have balloons!

Once we got the kids settled Mal and I sat down to a nice meal, I asked him earlier in the day to let me know what he would like to have and he chose his favorite .... lamb. So lamb it was with roast potatoes, broccoli and cheese sauce .... just how Malcolm likes it best :-)Happy Birthday Mal, we love you so very much!
