Thanksgiving Weekend

We hope everyone who was celebrating Thanksgiving yesterday enjoyed a nice long weekend! The weather was beautiful here in Halifax, we have had the nicest Fall .... I guess perhaps we are making up for the lack of sun in June!

Unfortunately I came down with a nasty cold/cough and was feeling quite miserable however being a long weekend I was lucky to have so much help with Ella and Henry! Malcolm took over with the kids and Mom offerred to make the turkey dinner; however I opted to make the turkey and have her come over and help as packing stuff up and trotting around with the kids sounded like way more work!

The turkey was sooo yummy ...the smell in the house made me think of Christmas :-)!

There were 7 of us this year, Mom, Dad, Jeff, Mal, Ella, Henry and I ... Ella got to sit at the big table next to Uncle Jeff ... she was most impressed!
Oh my little girl ...she is so sweet; so helpful with Henry and many times this weekend she was getting me kleenex and saying " Its ok Mommy, I help you" :-)
