Happy Halloween!

Happy Halloween!! Well I have to say that I don't think we have celebrated Halloween as much as we did this year in MANY years! Children really do bring back all the fun!
The Saturday before Halloween we had a little Halloween Party at our house for all of Ella & Henry's little friends! It was from 10:30am -1:30pm and was sooo cute! It was pretty much an excuse to get a little more wear out of these costumes but the kids had a blast! To be honest Ella was a much happier monkey in her costume at 10:30am than she was at 7pm on Halloween night! I think this may be the first official photo of my friends and our kiddies ...wow how things have changed over the past few years!
This is the playroom ... I have been meaning to do a blog about its completion but as we are still adding a few things I was waiting ... however it was put to good use for the party! All my Mommy friends and their kiddies joined us as well! I think there were over a dozen kids!
Ella and "her Halloween beads" ....we were in the dollar store getting decorations when Ella takes these off the shelf; puts them around her neck and says to me "Mommy I NEED these ones". How could I say no!! :-)

It was then time to carve the pumpkins!! Ella was hilarious ... a little bothered by the "yucky pumpkin goo " but was anxious to get in there nonetheless!

One scary one cute!

Sadly on Halloween evening Ella was not feeling 100%, she had a bit of a fever so we decided it would be best if she didn't go out from house to house....being 2 she didn't really know any better! But by 6pm ...after seeing the kids at the door in their costumes ...she needed her monkey outfit too! So she answered the door for most of the evening. The photo below is just how determined she was to "stay up" for the next group of kids :-)
Hope everyone had a great Halloween!
