MIA

Hello!

Well LONG time no see!! ... I do apologize but as some of you know at the end of July I went back to work full time. Its been whirlwind of a Summer/Fall as we worked through the transition back to daycare and me to work. I cannot say that we have found the perfect balance but for the most part things are going alright.

Henry transitioned to daycare famously and loves it...this made life much easier. Ella had a rough go in the beginning as not only was she going from only 2 days a week to 5 straight but she moved into a preschool room with all new teachers and went from being the oldest to the youngest again. Fortunately after a few weeks she has come to really enjoy the preschool ...we knew it was the right move for her as far as maturity and development but it was all just so much all at once.

The weather for the remainder of the summer in Halifax was pretty crap so selfishly going back to work mid summer was not all that bad for me!

Mal and I each enjoyed a trip to Pugwash with friends ...in years previous we all went as couples but this year we split ... one weekend all the ladies and the next the men ... made looking after the children much easier. We also took in a few concerts ... the Eagles, Elton John ... just to name a few little ones!! LOL!! We also spent some great times with our families and cannot imagine life without them. My parents as always are a tremendous help ...Mom is actually taking Ella to music class every Friday morning and spends the rest of the day with her ...it breaks up the week and is nice for both of them : ) My brother is back in Halifax (will post details ..upcoming)...but he and Nadine are also always helpful! And Chris and Veronica are still living here and they are SUPER ...we have really enjoyed having them living so close!

I am going to try and follow this note with a few short posts and some pics to bring you up to date ... probably missing a lot but I'll try .... I have to say time on the computer at home is limited!

I am enjoying being back to work and having my brain challenged but at times it all really feels like too much ... and the guilt of not really doing a GREAT job at anything can be daunting ... anyhow I know lots of people do this so we too shall manage :-)

Thanks for your patience as I know many people have mentioned the stall in my blogging ... I am going to try much harder ... even if its just to post a picture of the kids as you will not beleive how much they have grown!
