Yahoo....a playground in our own backyard!

A few weeks ago Ella & Henry received a very generous birthday gift from both sets of grandparents...their very own playground! It sat in boxes in the garage for a few weeks but after days and days of Ella saying "PLEASE PLEASE put up the slide!" we realized its time to get the playground underway!

The structure in the background is what Mal and I accomplished on DAY 1 ... lots of leveling and squaring to ensure the base was steady and safe!

DAY 2 - Uncle Chris and Veronica came over and helped immensely!!! THANK YOU! This is at the end of day 2

Weekend #2 Day 3 begins ... again Uncle Chris & Vero are here to help, yeah!

End of day 3 ... its really coming together now!!

Day 4 ...took ALL DAY but it was completed ... a few extra unnoticeable finishing touches but Monday morning Ella took her first slide! She ate breakfast faster than if it was Christmas morning!

The weather has been great since we came back from Vancouver so the kids have had lots of fun already ... I have to say the kids are not the only ones being spoiled by having a playground in their backyard ...it sure makes going out for an hour or two much easier for Mommy & Daddy!! Also with Henry still sleeping twice a day keeping Ella happy and entertained is also much easier!

Uncle Chris & Veronica...we THANK YOU so much for all your help ... we know we took up a few of your weekends and we really appreciate it!

AND Grandma, Grandad, Grannie & Grampa ... we are SO grateful!!!! This will surely provide lots of fun for our children and many others for years to come! : )
