Where did February go ???

Well for the first time since our blog began Mal and I were both working on a post at the same time...where we were both talking about the same thing ...anyhow he just posted about Feb but I thought rather than not post mine I would just edit the photos as to not duplicate : )

While Feb is notoriously a terrible weather month here in Halifax we have LOTS of birthdays to keep us having fun ... its really incredible just how many close family and friends we have who were born in Feb...I wish I had pics of all of them but sadly I was not that on my toes! Anyhow I'll list ..

Loren kicked off our birthday fun with her 2nd birthday party !!

As you can imagine Ella & Henry are really starting to LOVE birthday parties ... needless to say Feb was one big party with balloons and cake for them! The next big party was a combined morning party for Will and Dimitra ...in the rush of getting out the door I forgot my camera! Anyhoo it was a "Bob the Builder theme" and the we all had a great time. Dimitra was the best 1st cupcake eater that I have ever seen!

Next we hosted a Sunday dinner birthday party for my brother Jeff and my parents as Mom and Dad were heading down south the next week! I believe Mal posted a nice pic of Mom and Dad with Ella and their cake ... here is another shot of Uncle Jeff : )

Mal and I went out to dinner with Jeff and Nadine for Jeff's birthday, Nadine very generously suprised Jeff with dinner at one of the finest steakhouses in town ...and we were invited too! Although we felt we would debate the rating of " the best" we had a nice evening, thanks so much Nadine!!!

Trying out the hockey stick.... she was not a huge fan as she lost her balance more trying to focus on something rather than just keeping herself up!

Henry and his buddy Max ... fortunately both of the children LOVE Max ...its great fun for them on Sunday afternoons : )

Ella ... I think last year some time I put up a post about the genetic love for footwear in my family ... well lets just say its very much existent in both of my children! Below are pics of Ella ... Mom and I were shoe shopping as we can often be found doing .. and I turned around to hear Ella saying "Mom, I REALLY like these ones!" ... They were not even boots we were looking at ...she took them off the shelf herself and just put them on!

She had to make sure that she walked on the tile floor just to "hear them click" : ) Oddly enough I happened to have my camera in my purse!

All dressed up for breakfast!This is a most recent shot of Mal and I ... I was making a photo frame collage for Mom and Dad for their birthdays ..and sadly I could not find a pic of just Mal and I from the last 2 years! Sad ... but we do spend a lot of time taking pics of the children ...anyhow fortunately Chris and Vero were over one Fri evening and took several of us ..as to ensure we had a shot for the frame ...thanks for your patience guys ... it was definitely a humourous experience!
