Ringing in 2008!

Happy New Year!!! This year .... as similar to last year we knew that finding a babysitter for Ella & Henry might be tough (we are still on the just family & close friends) so we decided it would be best to host a dinner party.

We had a surf n' turf meal with lobster and steak with 6 of our close friends and Mal's brother Julian. Fortunately my friends all brought something so it was a r-e-l-a-x-e-d evening for me too as far as cooking !

By the time we finished up at the table it was 11:50pm ... I was happy about this as if it hadn't been for the great food and super company I may never have made it to midnight! (sad but true these days)

After dinner the guys went out and set up some fireworks on the front lawn .... once the clock struck 12 and we cracked the champagne they were outside firing them up ... fortunately none of the kids woke up and the foreworks were awesome... (from what I could see from the window .... it was FREEZING so I didn't go outside!) LOL
