January thaw in NS

Well this year is turning out to be like many winters I remember as a child in Nova Scotia. Blustery and very snowy throughout December making it lovely for the holidays and then something wild happens and we go from minus to plus in degrees .... the snow fades and the sun comes out ... I recall this being deemed the "January thaw" :-)

It was great timing too as poor Ella was sufferring from some serious cabin fever ...many days were way too cold and windy to play in the snow.

So out we went ...

I had to take a shot to show Mom & Dad as they are in Florida missing the warm Halifax weather ... I am sure it will be snow covered again before they return!
What was left of our snowman....
We went ot the park with Barbara & William; Ella was pretty
happy about taking Henry down the slide wit her

Sitting on the park bench taking a break ...Henry trying out the swing for the first time .... he was mezmorized by the clouds!
Ella swinging ... she is a big fan ... we may have to work on a swingset this summer!
There was still a fair amount of snow at the park ... but it was much warmer than it has been in weeks!
Will was also a big fan of the swing.... a little more than the slide :-)
